Andy is very experienced, having worked in the education service since 1977. His career has involved work in residential and state schools in the UK and abroad and work for several LEA's.
Andy has been a member of the Association of Heads of Outdoor Centres, the Professional Officer for AMI (Association of Mountain Instructors) and he is also an IML (International Mountain Leader) He is also BASI & RYA qualified in skiing and watersports.
Andy manages www.adventures.org.uk and ww.ghyllscrambling.co.uk and also teaches geography (part time) in Cumbria.
Andy lives in Cockermouth and is married to Sandy who works for Natural England. Both have a concern that all who play & work in the outdoors care for and help to look after the natural environment.
